It felt like Apocalypse Now with tens of helicopers landing one after the other in the field behind the stage.
Coldplay, Chili Peppers, U2. The gig went very quickly and it was over and back to U2’s hotel for drinks. Bono asked if we wanted to go to his house for lunch the next day. We got in a taxi and said ‘take us to Bono’s house’, we were taken straight there!
I don’t think he remembered inviting us, but we had a lovely afternoon.
